Asheville North Carolina is a wonderful place to visit and a place that has many famous people living in. And some people who use to live there and bring the area some great recognition. Maybe your even thinking of relocating to this fabulous city, it’s a great place to go, one magazine named it the “best place to reinvent yourself”. With a title like that being placed on this location it’s easy to see why so many famous people have made their homes here.

Some of these people are Charles Frazier, who was born and raised in Asheville. Harry Anderson, you may remember him as the funny judge on Night Court. How about John Avery, he played football in the NFL, CFL and XFL; in fact he also grew up in Asheville and attended a local high school. Roberta Flack that wonderful singer was born in Asheville and lives there still. How about the player from the St. Louis Rams, Leonard Little, he also was born in Asheville. These are only a few famous people who currently live in Asheville; many of them were born and raised in this location too. There is a Resort and Spa in Asheville that has been visited by six of the US presidents, and many famous celebrities. Not to mention the wonderful Asheville cabins that may be worth checking out.

Asheville has also been named as the “happiest city in the US”, and many other deserving titles that make you understand why so many famous people decide to stay in the area. Some famous people who lived in Asheville but have died include: William Jennings Bryan the famous politician, Elizabeth Blackwell who was the first woman doctor in America, The famous author, F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda lived in Asheville too. Also Fantastic actor Charlton Heston and his wife Lydia, while living in Asheville he also managed the Community Theatre. Two other outstanding authors that also lived in Asheville were William Sydney Porter, and Thomas Wolfe. You can tell with so many famous people having lived in Asheville North Carolina, it’s easy to see that this area attracts people of all calls of life. Many more famous people are sure to be lured by this beautiful friendly location. Not only that, but a few of these famous people like Thomas Wolfe have had their homes made into museums that you can go and look at.

This isn’t all that Asheville has to offer either; there are a great many Asheville cabins, art galleries and wonderful architecture to see in Asheville too. Also the community theatres that are in Asheville are a great way to widen your horizons. As with many cities in the United States and all over the world have haunted locations. Check out the haunted trolley in Asheville and spend some time in the haunted mountains. You will enjoy a lovely long trolley ride that will be quite entertaining.
